Acupuncture is a safe and relaxing medical procedure wherein very thin needles are methodically inserted both locally and distally on various parts of the body to relieve pain, treat menstrual issues, mental and emotional health, stomach issues and much, much more.  At your initial appointment, a thorough intake is completed and then you will receive your first acupuncture treatment.  There will be time for you to ask any questions you might have about Chinese Medicine and our practitioners are very skilled at assessing your individual needs for maximum comfort.

Labor preparation and flipping babies: Yes!  Our doctors are trained and well-experienced in providing safe labor preparation and flipping of breech babies via acupuncture and moxibustion.  Ideally, a pregnant patient will book labor induction treatments beginning at 37 weeks and will come twice a week until their bundle arrives.

Pediatric Patients: A is for Acupuncture!  Yes, acupuncture is a safe and effective method of treatment for your little ones.  Dr. Molly has completed extra education for the effective treatment of children from infancy through adolescence and over the years, it has become a hefty part of her practice.  Because of her previous career as a teacher, Dr. Molly really enjoys connecting with kids through the wonders of Chinese Medicine.

Chinese Herbal Medicine: Chinese herbal medicine differs from Western herbalism, in that patients are given a "formula," which is a combination of various herbs that will support a patient's overall constitution while simultaneously treating their most glaring symptoms as well as secondary issues.  Chinese herbal remedies have been approved by the FDA for testing to aid in healing from COVID!  Our herbalists are are thoroughly trained in the safe administering of herbal medicine.

Dietetics: Talk with our doctors about how everyday foods in your home or grocery store might be used medicinally for you.

SAAT Allergy Treatment

SAAT is a technique developed by Dr. Nader Soliman M.D, which utilizes muscle testing with homeopathy alongside auricular acupuncture to determine what a patient's allergies are, if they have MCAS (Mast Cell Activation Syndrome), and to eradicate the body's production of antibodies that are causing the patient's uncomfortable symptoms.  Successful treatment with the SAAT technique may completely eradicate a patient's allergy symptoms longterm.  You can read more about SAAT allergy treatments with Dr. Molly here

When you book your first appointment with Annapolis Family Acupuncture, you should receive an email welcoming you to our practice with a link to complete your new patient intake and to sign our release forms.  It is extremely helpful if you fill out the forms online prior to your appointment; please allow at least fifteen minutes to complete this extensive intake.  If you prefer for some reason to complete them in office, please arrive twenty minutes early to do so, so that it does not cut into your treatment.  Our doctors care very much about the thoroughness and integrity of their care for you, and your appointment time is set to accommodate that.
