Acupuncture is a safe and relaxing medical procedure wherein very thin needles are methodically inserted both locally and distally on various parts of the body to relieve pain, treat menstrual issues, mental and emotional health, stomach issues and much, much more.  At your initial appointment, a thorough intake is completed and then you will receive your first acupuncture treatment.  There will be time for you to ask any questions you might have about Chinese Medicine and our practitioners are very skilled at assessing your individual needs for maximum comfort.

Chinese Herbal Medicine: Chinese herbal medicine differs from Western herbalism, in that patients are given a "formula," which is a combination of various herbs that will support a patient's overall constitution while simultaneously treating their most glaring symptoms as well as secondary issues.  Chinese herbal remedies have been approved by the FDA for testing to aid in healing from COVID!  Our herbalists are are thoroughly trained in the safe administering of herbal medicine.

Dietetics: Talk with our doctors about how everyday foods in your home or grocery store might be used medicinally for you.

When you book your first appointment with Annapolis Family Acupuncture, you should receive an email welcoming you to our practice with a link to complete your new patient intake and to sign the following forms listed below.  It is extremely helpful if you fill out the forms online prior to your appointment; please allow at least fifteen minutes to complete this extensive intake.  If you prefer for some reason to complete them in office, please arrive twenty minutes early to do so, so that it does not cut into your treatment.  Our doctors care very much about the thoroughness and integrity of their care for you, and your appointment time is set to accommodate that. â€‹
